Love in the Time of Covid-19
Ezy and Kevin decided that a worldwide pandemic wasn’t going to stop them getting married, so they turned their large church-wedding into a small backyard wedding at a family property. And even with all the precautions in place, it was beautiful!
It was really interesting getting to chat with the bride’s hair and makeup artist, Blossom and Beauty, and learning how her business has had to change to ensure client safety during a pandemic, including using gloves, mask, face shield, and disinfectants. She still did a great job!
Pandemic Precautions at a Wedding
Thankfully with the use of long lenses and a mask, I was able to stay socially distant for the entire day. The bride and groom scaled down the guest list to just 13 people (with approval from the county) and included the rest of their friends and family through a Zoom call. But even though the gathering was small, they made time for several meaningful moments, including a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and greeting of their guests with the bride dressed in a beautiful Korean hanbok gown. Even the rain didn’t dampen their spirits, and we were lucky to find some breaks in the rain to get outside for portraits.
Congratulations, Ezy and Kevin!
