We’ve been members of the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers for a couple of years, and are honored to be part of this exclusive group of top-notch wedding photographers from around the world.
Among such excellence, it’s always an honor to place well in their wedding photo competitions. This fall, we placed three times, in fact. Recent wedding photographs by both Gretchen and Aisha were awarded top-10 and top-20 placements! Considering that each photographer only gets 2 entries, that’s quite impressive.
Aisha’s photograph, of the enthusiastic groomsmen, was taken at Mt Hood Bed and Breakfast, one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Portland/Columbia River Gorge/Mt Hood area. It’s a great photograph, showcasing her exceptional talent for creating vibrant group shots, capturing the unique flavor of the group she’s working with. You can view it at the ISPWP contest site, under Bridal Party Portraits. You can view more of Matt and Katie’s story and photographs here!
Gretchen’s photograph of the bride and groom’s First Dance, taken on the Oregon Coast, took a 7th place award in the ISPWP competition. It’s a scene taken from the movie “Say Anything,” and was a lovely moment between two fun-loving lovebirds, David and Elizabeth. Look for a blog post on them soon.
Not only did Gretchen win one award, but TWO! Considering that each photographer is only allowed 2 entries, this is truly an honor…especially because her second award was in the most hotly contested category: The Bridal Portrait. You can see more of her work from Mark and Emily’s beautiful wedding here.
Gretchen and Aisha are professional wedding photographers with a couple decades of experience, and it’s a real honor and pleasure to have them creating award-winning images for FritzPhoto customers. We’re proud to be award winning Portland wedding photographers. Contact us today about telling your love story!
