Jeffrey Overstreet - There is a particular awe I feel in woods like these. I felt it while watching Terrence Malick’s “The New World.” I feel it looking at this picture. Trees are some of God’s best words. They say so much, so quietly, with such authority. This photo captures a volume full of the speech that a tree can, as the psalmist says, “pour forth.”
